DR YVONNE ABIMBOLA
BSc, MBBS, MRCGP, PGDip Derm (Dist.)
Dr Eve Skin is the creation of Dr Yvonne Abimbola. Having studied medicine at St George's University of London, she noticed there was limited focus on dermatology, especially that of ethnic skin. Having subsequently qualified and completed her training to be GP, the need for a more in-depth knowledge of skin complaints became more apparent as approximately 20% of GP consultations are about skin complaints.
Realising her passion for dermatology, Dr Abimbola enrolled in a postgraduate diploma at Queen Mary's University of London in Clinical Dermatology and undertook several courses in minor surgery and skin treatments, and begun to hone her skills.

Dr Abimbola was awarded a Distinction by Queen Mary's University, in her Clinical Dermatology postgraduate diploma, and continues to pursue further learning in her field of interest.

In addition to her private practice, Dr Abimbola also works in the NHS in her capacity as GP and also as a GP specialist in Dermatology clinics, receiveing referrals from colleagues ranging from rashes, hair and nail complaimts and skin cancers of all types.
She has experience dealing with a variety of dermatological skin concerns in all skin types; and takes cultural backgrounds and practices into consideration, given their impact on skin complaints.

Dr Abimbola is committed to treating the everyday skin complaints of her clients using her clinical acumen and expertise, whilst ensuring they maintain a healthy self-image, and by promoting holistic treatment.

WHY US?
Day in, day out in the world of general practice, we see patients with various skin complaints, from acne, to eczema, to psoriasis, fungal nail infections and scalp disorders amongst many others, in the midst of those who we also see with chest pain, a sore ear or throat and memory issues to name a few.
This all needs it be done within 10 minutes in every consultation; and sadly this is often not much different in dermatology appointments.
That means that the time we'd ideally like to spend educating and advising on the diagnosis and management of the problem you came with is minimised to 1-2 minutes! No where better is that seen is in dermatological conditions. Often diagnoses need more time to be discussed in order for the patient to leave empowered and fully informed about the problem and your management plan.
We created this service because patients asked for it!
At Dr Eve Skin, a detailed assessment and mangement plan is made for you. You are not rushed, and we endeavour to answer your questions and give you solutions, where appropriate, to your presenting complaint.
